The Blog doesn't post these in sequence unfortunately, but here is a potentially dangerous situation that thankfully, I didn't climb.

Here is Trevor at the top. A lot of wind!

Broken top. Scary stuff! Trevor has climbed right underneath it.

See him now?

Here they are taking out the stumps. Germans have blue overalls, Aussies love high visablility work clothes.

"Ute" Australian for little pick up. They are quite fond of El Caminos here.

The sign says it all.

Looky, looky, maybe I can get a job in Melbourne. It would be a really cool city to work in with a wide variety of trees. Australian trees mixed with lots of European and North American trees.

This is the last work picture for the week. Fun work but real hard work. Not so much up and down as work in Germany but definitely more of the work part. The weather should be warming up.

Eww! Creepy crawlies all over here. Huge spiders on the trees. I didn't want to freak out Christina so I just snapped a photo of this little guy.

Here is me working on spikes. Nice action!

Here is a pic of a small gum(euc) on its way down.

Fun trees to climb!

Climbing eucs without spikes is quite challenging.

Here is a picture of me chainsawing away on my 1st eucalyptus tree. They have some real monster trees down here.

Nice weather here! Euc trees are much stronger than I had thought (feared).

Finall in Australia! 12 hours in country and I got to get in a tree. I was just glad the hand was still working.
