These pics are dark but a new camera is coming soon! This is a Robinia (Locust) that I removed. It was totally choked by ivy. It is like climbing through a jungle. Ivy on trees is very bad. This tree had been checked with a resistograph and was too hollow to be considered safe........ so I climbed it in order to remove it. Tree failure is where this job scares me. I have faith in my climbing systems, but a tree is an unknown and if it fails while you are in it......

Getting ready to make a cut. Always tied in twice!

Repositioning

Rock on with the 2 thumbs up.

All over but the clean up.

Another day, another dollar.... uhh euro

Strike a pose! This is what really expensive chainsaw pants look like.

Occasionally we work with lifts. This lift drive tracks like a tank and then has legs for support when working. It telescopes 30m (90ft). I tend to hate days with the lift. Yes, it is easier than climbing but it is not as free.
