This mound was in a yard where we were working. Curiousity got to me and I had to ask the owner what the hill was with a door in his yard. Did he have Hobbits for neighbors? He went on to tell me that it was a bombshelter is father built in 1941 when he was just a child. It was neat to hear him describe what it was like to be in the shelter listening to the bombs falling. He had no lack of stories. Old trees, like old people are living links to our past. Go visit them both, its better than reading about it.
